I'm here!

I finally found me way back! Its been sooo long.... i've missed my poor neglected blog. And to my surprise I came back to more followers! YAY!! ok so its still only 4 but thats more then I had when I was posting everyday. But i'm going to get back on track soon...
I've been making lots of cute presents that I'm excited to share... but it'll have to be after the season of course bc I don't want anyone getting a sneak peak at their gifts!

In the mean time here is something to give you a little Holiday Cheer. It makes me smile anyways :)

Happy Holidays All!

EEEK!!

So I've been into this wreath-mood lately. I even checked out a bunch of books at the library on it. I've just found them so easy to make but they make such a huge impression. Like these I made today!

These spooky spiderweb wreaths would make any front door scary enough for those Trick-or-Treaters on Halloween. I made them with deer-moss and spider rings I picked up at the Dollar Store.
The how-to can be found on Martha Stewart's website.

Halloween is only 20 days away... So get on the little projects like this to make your house stand out as the creepiest on the block.

Mums... check! Pumpkin.... check!

Stopped by the Pumpkin Patch after work today. Got all the necessities for a festive front porch.
Check out these pumpkins I picked up!

I've never even see an orange and white speckled pumpkin but I LOVE it! Don't you agree?!

Oh and yes I made a Halloween wreath this past weekend. I found this tutorial on Better Homes and Gardens website. Here is what I ended up with...

So I guess I would be all ready for some Trick-or-Treaters.... IF we weren't going to be in AUBURN! We've got a big weekend planned to spend some quality time in the Hay Fields with some of my favorite people... my Mangos! (an explanation to come at a later time)

Till next time, Happy Harvesting :)

October is now upon us and with that comes fall... unless of course you live where I live and its still pretty much summer but never the less it's the fall time of year and with that comes some of my favorite things...

of course, AUBURN FOOTBALL

but also fall decorations! So lets get those decorations out and up! I've put up my fall wreath, garland, and of course orange lights. I love coming home to see my door lit up.

I made this last year but I'm kind of really wanting a Halloween wreath. I think I might go out and get the stuff in the morning :)

Having you been wanting one too? Then make one! Its sooo easy :) get some ideas/inspiration/tutorials HERE.   Good luck and have fun!

Off without a hitch!

My Dad turns 50 tomorrow! So as a surprise we threw him a party.... this has been my reason for not posting at all last week. The party was Friday night and was a semi-surprise. As the people were arriving we kind of forgot to direct the cars down the street... or at least ran out of man power to appoint someone else to do it. So the real surprise was when he pulled into the drive way and there were cars everywhere :)

Here is my little project I put together for the party.

I made a 'clothes line' of 50 years of pictures. It turned out great and was a big hit, especially for those who knew my dad back then.
Using 3 bamboo poles, twine and a bunch of clothes pin anyone could easily set something like this up. I stuck my poles into the ground and into potted plants - you'll just need something to anchor them. I tied them off to ground stakes to anchor them and keep them from falling forward.
I also set up a few good ones from those younger years by the cake.
All in all it was a great party. Happy 50th Dad!

Happy Birthday!

So this week has been insanely busy! So much so I haven't posted at all this week. Shame on me! But today I finally got to meet Adilyn! Some of our best friends, Jay and Kristen, brought the sweetest and cutest little girl into the world today. She was born just after 2pm and we visted around 5. She wasn't fussy at all. She was passed around to everyone and never minded a bit. And she actually was the first newborn baby I've ever held!! Her birth has been long awaited but I can't believe she is already here!

Welcome Miss Adilyn Sarah!

Now I've got to start making some of the cute baby stuff I've been finding on all these amazing blogs I've been coming across.
